April 7th Fundraiser for Somali Relief Efforts
Dine Out for Somalia is a one day fundraising event to support current drought and famine relief efforts in Somalia. Inspired by community members who wanted to give back, a few restaurant owners in Minneapolis got together to brainstorm on how they could play a role, spread awareness and get others involved. The goal is to raise over $150,000 to support relief efforts.
Most of the participating businesses have pledged to donate 50% of sales, with others donating as much as they can.
There are many ways to support businesses may be in the position to donate a portion of their sales. We encourage both individuals and business owners to make a direct donation of whatever amount makes sense. Every dollar helps.
